The Nigerian Army on Tuesday announced the arrest of an alleged financier and stimulants dealer to the deadly Boko Haram insurgents ravaging the northeastern Nigeria in Borno State. The suspect, Mohammed Maina, was apprehended with the sum of One Million Naira cash and some items. The Nigerian Army spokesman Col. Sani Usman said in statement that Mohammed supplied Kolanuts and other items especially stimulants to the insurgents. According to the Army, the suspected revealed during interrogation that kolanuts is in high demand among the terrorists as it keeps them active at night. The suspect was also said to ply Maiduguri-Dikwa-Kulli axis where he gathers monetary and other materials contributions from Boko Haram sympathizers along the axis and send same to the terrorists camps, the Guardian reports.
