33-year-old Oluwabunmi and her 42-year-old husband, Bankole Ogidan both pictured above, welcomed their first child at a hospital in Ogun state on Wednesday January 27th from a pregnancy she reportedly carried for four years.
Narrating the unusual experience to The Nation, Bankole who has been married to Oluwabunmi since August 2011 said
“We were full of hope about having children and raising a complete family. But we had to wait till August 2013 before she got pregnant exactly two years after.
We went for pregnancy test and it was confirmed positive. A few days after, my wife complained that she was feeling pains in her womb. We went to a midwife who told us that the pain was not a problem; that the pregnancy was intact. I was not satisfied, so I took her to another hospital (name withheld) where we did a scan but the doctor said he didn’t see any pregnancy. The doctor said there had been a miscarriage. I asked him that shouldn’t there be an outflow of blood if she had a miscarriage? The doctor said yes. I told him that we had not witnessed anything like that and he was shocked.”.
Worried by the doctor’s report, Bankole decided to seek spiritual help and so he went to meet with the pastor of his church, Prophet Emmanuel Ogbara, who assured him that God had told him the pregnancy was intact. A couple of weeks later, Bankole went back with his wife to the hospital but they were told that what she had in her womb was fibroid. They left for the General Hospital, Gbagada, where they were asked to see a gynaecologist. Again, the gynaecologist told them that what he saw in Oluwabunmi’s stomach was multiple fibroid with no chance of conception.
“All this while, my wife’s menstruation had ceased,” Bankole said. “It was only once after the pregnancy was sighted that we observed that little blood came out but stopped almost immediately. We left there for the Government Hospital in Owode, Ogun State. Thereafter, we returned for a scan session. The gynaecologist said there were three sets of fibroid where the baby ought to be, but that the way my wife looked, she appeared like a woman who was ready for delivery. He said he would act fast and do an x-ray that would reveal more. That was on March 25, 2014. We did the x-ray but we were told that though they believed in God, from all medical indications, there was no more pregnancy in the womb. They said the uterus was elongated, blocked with a concentration of urine fibroid and the white fallopian tube was outlined. They concluded that it was fibroid. I asked if she could get pregnant and they said no.”
Meanwhile, Oluwabunmi’s stomach had protruded as if she was due for delivery. Bankole said he could not even think of sleeping with his wife because of the delicate nature of her condition all through the period.
“There was pressure from all corners, family, friends and well-wishers, who all had their suggestions as to the solution. Some said we were hearing wrongly from God,” he said.
Asked if he was not afraid that his wife would die in the process of waiting for a baby, he said:
“I did not worry about death at all. I was only more inspired to wait on God. As a matter of fact, we stopped going for medical opinion. As far as we were concerned, they had no good news for us, so we resorted to our church and prayer. On the 10th of September, 2015, my wife became terribly ill with signs of labour. I had to look for any hospital in sight because her condition was bad. That was how we got to this hospital. After giving her the initial treatment, we were told to go for another scan. To the glory of God, the doctor here said he had seen a baby; that my wife was carrying four months pregnancy.”
But the mystery was how the pregnancy could be four months old when he was not making love to his wife, and his wife’s protruding stomach was there for all to see?
“At the church, the prophet confirmed again that the child had all along been there; only that scan could not pick it. So the hospital continued to nurture the baby for antenatal. But here again, they still saw fibroid in the womb. But to the glory of God 27th January this year, our baby finally arrived,” Bankole said.
But that was not all. During the delivery, the baby was said to have “got lost” in the womb.
The hospital’s matron said: “We had to do an operation. When we did, we found that contrary to scan reports, we met a different thing in the womb. It was a sac with pus inside. It was not fibroid. And looking inside, we didn’t see any baby. But I remembered that I used to hear sound inside Mrs Ogidan’s womb, so the doctor searched further; the baby was  hidden in the uterus. We thank God. It’s a miracle. The sac was so big that it swallowed up the uterus where the baby was. The sac was so big that the uterus could not be easily found. The doctor said he had never seen such a thing before.”
‎Speaking on the uniqueness of Oluwabunimi’s pregnancy, Dr Sam Akinyemi, a consultant on naturopathic gynaecologist,
“This is an abnormal medical record. But nothing is impossible in this world. All homo sapiens must take note of that. It is the joy of every pregnant woman that at 40 weeks or before then, the woman must fall into labour. When it does not happen, it becomes a major concern to the physician and the patient herself. In natural medical gynaecology, we have had cases of that nature. It can be the result of retardation in hormonal production in the pregnant patient or mother. And metaphysically, nature won’t seize to amaze us in its power.”

I don’t know how to explain this but I will try. The woman sitting and backing the camera is said to be a mentally unstable woman. The people gathered around her believe she gives lucky numbers for betting games as a few have supposedly testified. So they take their bets to her for her to help them
pick a lucky number. That’s how the eye witness who sent in the photo explained to me.

15 year old Miracle Oluebube Nweke, a native of  Eziagu, Enugu state, was c@u-ght on Monday, Jan 18  having 6 with a Sheep. A friend who c@u-ght him in the act raised an alarm leading to h!s arrest by a vigilante group.
Miracle said he knew that it was not normal but that he could not help himself and that anytime he had the urge, a strange voice would lead him to where he would get a sheep which he would loose and drag to an uncompleted building to have 6 with it.
According to Authorityngr.com
“It gives me great pleasure whenever I have 6 with a sheep, I have never had 6 with human being  in my life except sheep, I haven’t tried any other animal to know the difference, my experience with sheep is sweet”.
He explained that on sighting any sheep, he would engage, first, in sexual fixation otherwise called zoophilia before graduating to raping it otherwise called bestiality or sodomy.
“Whenever I get any sheep of my choice, I untie it from the spot where the owner has left it and take the sheep to a secluded uncompleted building and have 6 with it”.
“I don’t do anything else with the sheep than that. I normally make sure that no one is around watching while doing it because I know that the owners of the sheep may not like it.
He however blamed evil spirit for being responsible for h!s sexual depravity
“There is a spirit that normally tells me to go and look for sheep and whenever I hear the commanding voice of the spirit, it becomes irresistible for me to take away my eyes from sheep. I will be so restless and confused until after I have carried out the instruction of the unseen spirit.
When asked if he regret h!s actions after now that he has been c@u-ght in the act, he answered in the affirmative but that he could not say categorically that he would not do it again. He also explained what he has been going through since the incident:
“The last time, our landlady accused me of stealing h-er money when sh-e actually securely locked h-er doors and windows. How could I have entered h-er house? But I know sh-e was just trying to eject my parents after the news got to h-er that I usually sleep with sheep which sh-e considered atrocious.
“I don’t steal and I don’t molest children. I am not a criminal,” he said
Mr Uche, the owner of the sheep told the vigilante operatives that he would not go home with the sheep again, he demanded that the teenager who defiled h!s sheep must buy it. He also argued that it would be misleading for anyone to think that the sheep is still normal after its encounter with Miracle.
“The best thing is to sell this sheep and its small b@by to Miracle so that he can do whatever he wants with it. I cannot take them home again after their experience in h!s hand.
“I will only be deceiving myself if I believe my sheep is still normal. If I take them home and they start biting people, what would I do?”
“Again, if the sheep later gives birth to a half M@n and half animal, what do you want me to tell the world?” Uche queried
The vigilante operative, Okeke, when asked on what becomes of the arrested boy, said that he would be released to h!s parents after they have made adequate payment for the sheep that was raped by their son, noting that the 15-year old boy would not be handed over to the police.
“You will agree with me that this is not a criminal case and I don’t think it is necessary to start wasting our time and that of the police by taking this boy to the station.
“We will release him to h!s parents so that they can go and find spiritual solutions to h!s problems. This is more of a spiritual case than security matter”‘ he explained.
Miracle is a school dropout and the first of seven children of h!s parents. h!s father is a trader while h!s mother sells banana and groundnut in their neighbourhood.

A witness said the four family members were burnt by the fire, which broke out in their house at the ABU Site II staff quarters, along the Zaria-Sokoto Road.
A friend to late Musa, Umar Bala, who is also a staff of the university, told Daily Trust that they received reports that the fire was caused by an electrical fault.
“We saw fire trucks and men moving out of the university main campus in Samaru around 7am. At first, we did not know where they were going, but we later found out that they were going to Uba Musa’s house. This incident is very shocking, as I saw the wife and the children on Friday. I also met Uba on Friday and he was full of life. We pray Allah to grant them eternal rest,” Bala said.
The four family members were buried at Shika cemetery in Zaria.
The Bursar of ABU, Alhaji Ibrahim Usman was among the management staff sighted at the funeral prayers, as the VC, Professor Ibrahim Garba, was out of town.

A group of Mechanical Engineering students from the University of Lagos have built an electric-powered car from scratch, using locally sourced materials.

The project, which began in 2014, was initiated by two engineering graduates (then undergrads), Olukoya Olusanya and Maduka Smart, who later enlisted the help of other mechanical engineering students. The result of the collaboration was a zero emission electric powered prototype vehicle called dubbed the DOVE P1.

The DOVE P1, which is made of a fibre glass body, weighs in at about 200kg and is capable of speeds of up to 35 km/h.While one would question the viability an electric car in a nation that struggles with reliable power supply. “Cars are going electric”, said team lead Olukoya Olusanya in an interview with CCTV News, “and I believe that in the next 15 years, more than half of all cars sold around the world will be either partially electric or fully electric”.These are quite bold statements. All around the developed world, electric cars continue to struggle to get mass adoption. Their high cost, limited range do not help their cause much, even in developing nations where power is not a problem.Nevertheless, Project Dove (as the team is called) remains confident that electric cars are the future. They have launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise $25,000 towards replicating the technology at other Universities all around Nigeria. Here is a link to their crowdfunding page:https://www.sanzy.co/campaign/12/impossible-is-nothing.-let-s-build-cars-for-the-future

On Saturday, Mesut Özil will become the first player in Premier League history to take to the pitch in laceless boots.
The new and innovative boots were developed for the midfielder by his official sponsors, the German sportswear and equipment supplier Adidas.
Known as the ACE 16+ PureControl boots, Adidas also gifted pairs to Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitić and Real Madrid’s  James Rodríguez, but Özil will be the first player to wear the revolutionary footwear in an official match, and not just a training situation.
Rakitić has reportedly branded the Ace 16+ boots the ‘best he’s ever worn’, whilst Özil – after posting an enthusiastic selfie of him and the PureControl concept on Instagram last November – revealed that he never liked laces anyway.

A photo posted by Mesut Özil (@m10_official) on

“My whole career I have tried to minimise the impact of laces on my strike and ball control,” says Özil. “I revealed to Adidas in 2014 that in the changing room I knot the laces over and over again and then tuck in the ends – that way they do not interfere with my touch.
“So when they came to me last year with the laceless boots, it was like they have created my dream product. I cannot wait to wear them on the pitch.”

Adidas maintain that the boots are just as comfortable and secure as previous PureControl designs. The laces, although gone, have been replaced with three key points of stability to lock the foot into the boot. A thermoplastic cage locks over the iconic three stripes to secure the mid foot, and is further anchored by a knitted upper and an internal knitted techfit locking system.
The upper combines tight and loose premium knits across the boot and, Adidas assure, the result is a glove-like fit, allowing for the cleanest possible strike – as a larger surface area generates more power and accuracy.

In a striking Solar Green, the boots are available to buy in a select number of Adidas flagship stores – namely Paris, Marseilles, London, Barcelona and Manchester.
But will these futuristic footwear sell out before Özil’s Arsenal take on Chelsea this Saturday? Or will people want to ensure that the boots don’t fly off your feet before they start flying off the shelves?

The Command Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed this to journalists, said the suspect committed the crime on Saturday.
“The police operatives attached to Abigi Division of the Ogun State police command have arrested one Adewale Enoch, 60, for having unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl, 12, on 26th December at 1540hrs,” he said.

Mr. Adejobi added that the suspect’s act was reported to the police by the father of the victim and the police arrested the man at Moborode Area, Abigi in Ogun Waterside Local Government of Ogun state.
